Carbon Offset Brokers
While Grow Tomorrow is a carbon offset retailer, develops carbon offset projects and provides carbon consulting services, there are also carbon offset brokers in the carbon markets.

Carbon Offset Projects
To begin, carbon offset projects are developed by project developers. Grow Tomorrow, for example, develops Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation (REDD+) projects in North and South America. These REDD+ projects, which have been independently validated and verified against both the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Standard (CCBS) with Gold Level Distinction, are collectively preserving thousands of hectares, benefitting 2,000+ local community members, and providing habitat to a tremendous amount of terrestrial biodiversity.
Upon completing the validation and verification audits, project developers may then sell the carbon offsets generated by their projects directly to an end-user, such as an individual or a company for its climate neutrality commitments, or sell the carbon offsets to an intermediary. These intermediaries include carbon offset retailers, such as Grow Tomorrow, and carbon offset aggregators. There are also carbon offset brokers, which essentially introduce buyer and seller in the marketplace. Brokers usually do not take ownership of the underlying carbon offset credit; rather, carbon offset brokers help to facilitate the transaction in exchange for a commission. Brokers primarily operate in the compliance carbon markets, but some brokers also operate in the voluntary carbon market. The reason for this is because the compliance carbon markets often involve more frequent and higher volume trades at higher prices, as opposed to the voluntary carbon market.
A few of the most popular United States-based carbon offset brokers are:
Evolution Markets;
CTX Global;
Karbone; and
Tradition;
